The winner of the award for Player of the Month at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Wednesday been revealed. This comes amid confirmation that Arda Güler has beaten out the competition to secure the prestigious prize.

Youngster Arda for his part carried what has been a stellar opening to the new campaign on an individual basis through the month of September.

Across Real Madrid’s four La Liga fixtures, the 21-year-old featured from the off in three, and from the bench in the other.

And along the way, Arda continued to prove himself the most reliable source of chance creation in José Mourinho’s squad. From his berth in the middle of the park, the Turk time and time again laid on goalscoring opportunities for the likes of Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Jr, deserving of far more than the one assist which he was ultimately credited for.

Such exploits culminated in a deserved spot on the shortlist to be named Real Madrid Player of the Month earlier this week.
