Official | Thorgan Hazard returns to RC Lens

Thorgan Hazard (33) has completed a return to RC Lens, it has been confirmed. The Belgian has signed a two-year deal with the Ligue 1 club.

The Belgium international came through the ranks at Lens, going on to make 16 appearances for the first team. He went on to join Chelsea in the summer of 2012, following his brother, who joined from Lille OSC. Hazard went on to play for the likes of Zulte Waregem, Borussia Monchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund, PSV Eindhoven, and RSC Anderlecht. He has played for the latter since 2023. Last season, he played 46 games for the Belgian side, scoring 15 goals and registering 11 assists.

His contract was up at the end of the campaign. He opted against a renewal, instead joining Lens, who will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season. His deal with the club runs until the summer of 2028. He becomes Les Sang et Or’s second signing of the summer, following that of Michael Cuisance.
