Paris FC interested in Lorient’s Arsene Kouassi
Arsene Kouassi (22), after an excellent season at FC Lorient, could be on the move this summer, as per a report from Sacha Tavolieri.
Kouassi joined Les Merlus from formative club AC Ajaccio last summer for a meagre €1.2m fee. It proved to be an excellent bit of business. In his debut season for Les Merlus, the full-back netted twice and delivered an impressive eight assists in 33 games in all competitions.
His spell at the Moustoir could prove to be a short one as he is already attracting interest, especially from other Ligue 1 clubs. Tavolieri understands that Paris FC, who look set to appoint former Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior as the successor to Antoine Kombouaré, have made contact with the left-back’s entourage. Les Parisiens have detailed their ambitious project, the journalist adds.
There has also been interest from Olympique de Marseille, who, short of cash, could not align with the €10m price tag (minimum) set by Lorient.
