Bayern Munich rival Tottenham in Kevin Schade chase
Bayern Munich will reportedly compete with Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign 24-year-old German winger Kevin Schade from Brentford this summer.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Kevin Schade is the subject of interest from Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 24-year-old Brentford winger has emerged as a target for Die Roten.
However, the Bavarian giants are not alone in the battle for Schade’s signature, as Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan are also keen on signing the Brentford winger in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the high-flying Premier League club will demand around €50-70 million to part ways with the Potsdam-born attacker.
How has Kevin Schade fared at Brentford?
Kevin Schade has established himself as one of the best young wingers in the Premier League since joining Brentford from SC Freiburg. The West London club initially signed the 24-year-old on loan in January 2023 before completing a permanent move in the subsequent summer transfer window.
Schade has made considerable progress in the last three years, becoming a mainstay in the final third for Brentford. The German international has been solid thus far in the 2025/26 season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in 26 Premier League outings. Meanwhile, his progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur.
A man in demand
Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Kevin Schade makes sense. The Lilywhites are combing the market for a versatile wide attacker, as they have yet to fill Son Heung-min’s void since he moved to MLS. Several candidates have thus emerged on Tottenham’s wishlist, with Schade also a viable target. However, they may face an uphill task to land the Brentford winger due to their relegation threat.
As for Bayern Munich, while Michael Olise, Luis Diaz, and Serge Gnabry have been solid in the 2025/26 season, the Bundesliga champions need more resources on the flanks. So, they have set their sights on Schade. However, a summer move may be challenging, as Brentford will resist a sale, and they have set a “high” asking price for him.
The Bees are demanding around €50-70 million to part ways with the 24-year-old German international, and Bayern Munich may not have the resources to afford a summer deal. Meanwhile, Brentford would prefer to keep Schade and extend his contract. So, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him.
