Rayo Vallecano have on Thursday announced a deal for a member of the defensive ranks at La Liga rivals Sevilla. This comes amid confirmation of Adrià Pedrosa taking his talents to Spain’s capital for the season ahead.

Pedrosa is for his part fresh off a year out on loan away from parent club Sevilla in 2025/26. Deemed surplus to requirements in Nervión, the 28-year-old went on to link up with Elche.

From here, Pedrosa managed 26 La Liga appearances in the colours of Elche, chipping in with a goal and an assist along the way.

After again being informed that his services would not be required for the year ahead back in Seville this summer, a number of Spanish top-flight clubs are in turn understood to have expressed an interest in the left-back’s signature.

And as alluded to above, on Thursday, one such suitor have officially tied up a deal to bring Pedrosa in. As per a statement across Rayo Vallecano’s social media platforms:

‘Adrià Pedrosa is a new Rayo Vallecano player. He arrives on loan from Sevilla FC until the end of the season.’
