Bayern Munich monitoring €70m Brentford winger Kevin Schade – however, a move currently seems unlikely
Sky Germany and Bild both report that Bayern Munich are monitoring the situation of Brentford winger Kevin Schade.
Bayern are looking for backup options to Luiz Diaz, which is why they have been linked with the likes of Said El Mala and Yan Diomande in recent months.
Schade is now another name that has been included on the shortlist at Säbener Straße. However, with Brentford demanding €70m for the German international, it is unlikely that a move will progress, as that is too expensive for a player who will be a backup. Last summer, Bayern paid a similar fee for Diaz.
Schade’s season with Brentford:
With the West London side currently mounting an unlikely push for European football, the former Freiburg winger has been one of the protagonists under Keith Andrews.
This season, the 24-year-old has seven goals and three assists in 26 Premier League games, including a hat-trick against Bournemouth back in December.
