Liverpool can return to fray for Inter’s Denzel Dumfries

Liverpool could be set to revive their interest in Inter wing-back Denzel Dumfries in the summer transfer window.

According to Pasquale Guarro, the Premier League giants could yet return to the fray for the Dutch international, whose future in Milan appears increasingly uncertain. The report suggests that the feasibility of a move will depend heavily on his agent’s ability to secure a formal offer from Anfield, particularly as the player is widely expected to leave the Nerazzurri at the end of the current campaign.

The situation marks a shift from the club’s recent winter strategy. Inter actually decided to keep the player at the club during the January window despite exploring potential exit routes. There were suggestions that it was Liverpool who pulled out but in the end, the Nerazzurri had decided to keep him in the squad.

With Dumfries’ contract situation and Inter’s need to balance the books, a departure seems inevitable. Having successfully warded off mid-season approaches, Inter are now bracing for a summer of negotiations, with Liverpool remaining a prominent suitor should the right financial conditions be met.

Besides, the Dutchman recently changed his agents and that can drive an exit.
