Al-Hilal’s opening offer for Manchester United target Mohamed Kader Meïté rejected

According to a report from Ouest-France and confirmed by L’Équipe, Stade Rennais have rejected an initial offer from Al-Hilal SC for striker Mohamed Kader Meïté (18) valued at €23m with an additional €3m in bonuses.

Rennes are not interested in selling the teenager in the current transfer window and has entered into negotiations to extend his contract beyond its current 2028 end date. However, this is not expected to deter Al-Hilal from trying again.

They are expected to return with an improved offer for a player who has impressed in his breakthrough season, having scored three and assisted two in 19 appearances across all competitions.

Manchester United also interested in Mohamed Kader Meïté

Al-Hilal are not alone in their interest. Manchester United have also been linked to the striker, with Foot Mercato previously writing that the Premier League club are expected to make a move for him in the event that one of the players already at the club leaves this winter.
