Liam Rosenior took time out to comment on Cole Palmer’s importance in the side and what the club thinks of him, as his words appeared in The Telegraph. It indicated that the 23-year-old Chelsea mainstay is the future of the club, and the club are thinking along the same lines.

Rosenior said, “I’ve had numerous conversations with Cole, and he seems very, very happy to be here. He is very, very happy to be here. He’s a huge part of our plans in the long term. He’s an outstanding player. Every player goes through difficult moments in their careers in terms of injury. I don’t think it’s any reflection on his qualities. He’s an outstanding footballer.”

Meanwhile, Palmer is being steadily managed in an effort to bring him back to peak fitness after his early-season struggles with injuries. He has been underperforming a bit, but it feels like a matter of time before the England international returns to his best self.
