Paris FC are in talks to sign Brighton and Hove Albion defender Diego Coppola (22) on loan, according to a report from Marc Mechenoua. 

The Italian defender has played just nine times for Brighton this season, five times in the Premier League and four times in cup competitions. Les Parisiens, who are looking to pull away from a relegation battle, would look to sign Coppola on loan this month.

L’Équipe confirms Paris FC’s interest in the defender, but adds that there are other names on their shortlist, including Giulian Biancone, who currently plays his football for Olympiacos. The Greek side, however, do not want to part ways with the Frenchman this month.

Paris FC are favouring loan moves this month, L’Équipe understands, which could slow talks between clubs. The Ligue 1 side are also looking to recruit a striker, but have made no progress in their attempts to sign Olympique de Marseille’s Neal Maupay.
