Marseille reach Ethan Nwaneri loan deal agreement with Arsenal
Olympique de Marseille and Arsenal FC have reached an agreement regarding Ethan Nwaneri’s (18) loan deal to the Ligue 1 side, according to Foot Mercato. The England U21 international will spend the remainder of the 2025-2026 campaign with Roberto De Zerbi’s Phocéens. Nwaneri’s loan deal includes no option to buy. The 18-year-old has agreed a temporary switch to OM. He is expected to land in Southern France tomorrow.
The Athletic broke the news today that Marseille and Arsenal were in talks over a loan move for the youngster, who has seen his playing time decrease following the summer signings of Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke as well as Bukayo Saka’s return to full fitness. In Marseille, Nwaneri will be expected to provide competition and cover to Mason Greenwood, who has been OM’s star man when playing from the right. Marseille host Liverpool on Wednesday for Matchday 7 of the Champions League. Nwaneri could make his OM debut this Saturday at the Vélodrome against Ligue 1 leaders RC Lens.
