Real Madrid have edge in the race to sign Jacobo Ramon

Real Madrid have the clear edge in the chase of Jacobo Ramon owing to many clauses, as the Como defender has a lot of Premier League interest.

According to Team Talk, Real Madrid have a big advantage in the race for Jacobo Ramon in the future. The Spanish giants had inserted many favourable clauses in their deal to sell the 21-year-old Serie A defensive sensation to Como in the first place, as the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool may have to take a backseat.

Real Madrid have done some smart pieces of business of late with some of the sales they made of their young rising stars. The name of Nico Paz comes to the forefront, as the Spanish giants had inserted many favourable clauses that let them buy back the player at a very low price compared to his high market value.

Como have benefited from a sporting side in signing Paz, although the Italian side are powerless when it comes to negotiating a fee. Real Madrid have a clear edge in the race for Paz despite heavy Premier League interest, as they are destined to re-sign the attacking midfielder next summer for a modest sum.

Como might have repeated their mistake with the signing of another one of Real Madrid’s academy products in Jacobo Ramon. The young defender has emerged as a key part of Cesc Fabregas’ side since he arrived in a 2 million deal in the summer.

Ramon has started 16 Serie A games and missed only three other clashes this season in the league. He’s certainly a key star and has big interest from Premier League sides like Chelsea and Liverpool. The two English giants are in the market for promising young defenders, although, like the Nico Paz case, they are about to lose out to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have the edge in the Jacobo Ramon chase?

Much like the Nico Paz deal, Real Madrid inserted many favourable clauses, such as a  50% sell-on stipulation, as well as conditions that let them re-sign the player on the cheap in the agreement for the 21-year-old Serie A defensive sensation. At the moment, they are leaning towards bringing Ramon back to the Bernabeu, thus taking advantage of the conditions in his deal.

Ramon himself has a long-standing dream of making it at Real Madrid, and could potentially jump at the chance of playing at the Santiago Bernabeu. The figures associated with a potential buy-back clause remain unclear at the moment, but Como are likely to lose out on another big transfer fee for a player they played a huge role in developing.
