Fulham vs Liverpool: Preview and Prediction
Fulham will host Liverpool at Craven Cottage on Sunday, looking to continue their impressive run of form and add to the Reds’ misery this week.
Fulham have picked up three wins and a draw from their last four Premier League matches ahead of the game vs Liverpool this weekend. The West London outfit will certainly look to grind out a positive result at home here.
Liverpool have been quite vulnerable, and they are inconsistent right now. The Cottagers will certainly fancy their chances of getting a good result. It will be interesting to see if Marco Silva’s men can make life difficult for the defending champions and grind out a morale-boosting victory here.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are coming into this game on the back of a disappointing draw against Leeds United. They will look to pick up a win here, and it remains to be seen whether they can produce a strong performance. They are unbeaten in the last six matches in all competitions, but they need to raise their performance levels to win here.

- The last six matches between these two teams have seen both sides get on the score sheet.
- Both teams are unbeaten in the last four Premier League matches.
- Fulham have won just one of their last 19 Premier League games against the reigning champions (D3 L15), though that victory did come against Liverpool in March 2021 (1-0 at Anfield).

Player to Watch
Hugo Ekitike
The Frenchman has carried the goalscoring burden in recent weeks, and he is our key player to watch. Liverpool will need him to create opportunities in the final third and find the back of the net as well. Ekitike has been exceptional since joining the Premier League club, and he is currently one of the best attacking players in the league.
The 23-year-old has scored three goals in his last two Premier League away games, having scored just once in his first six on the road for Liverpool. He last scored in more consecutive away league games in December 2021 (4 with Reims). With such numbers, it is hardly surprising that Ekitike is a captaincy candidate in FPL for us.
Liverpool will need him to step up and make a defining impact in the final third if they want to win the game. Fulham will look to make life difficult for the opposition and nullify their attacking threat. The French international could cause all sorts of problems for them with his technical attributes and link-up play.
Prediction
Fulham 1-1 Liverpool
Both teams will be playing for a victory here, and this is likely to be a closed contest. Fulham and Liverpool are in similar vein of form right now, and they will fancy their chances against each other. Liverpool, on paper, are the better team, but they have not been at their best this season.
Fulham are high on motivation after their recent performances and they will look to get a positive result here. Both teams are likely to get on the score sheet, but it will be difficult to separate them. It would not be a surprise if they cancel each other out in a draw.
