Crystal Palace’s rivals to sign Sidiki Chérif revealed
Crystal Palce hold a strong interest in signing SCO Angers forward Sidiki Chérif (19) this January, but they face some tough competition for his signature, as reported by Mohamed Toubache-Ter.
As per a report from Le Parisien last week, Crystal Palace are interested in the Angers forward. Chérif has already scored four, helping Angers to a respectable 10th-place position over the winter break. He, alongside Prosper Peter, have filled the void created by Esteban Lepaul’s departure late in the summer transfer window.
But Chérif, too, could now leave. Clubs across Europe are lining up for the Frenchman. Sacha Tavolieri has already revealed interest from AC Milan, an interest confirmed by Toubache-Ter. There are two other interested parties. One is Paris FC, who have made the recruitment of a No.9 a priority this January, given Willem Geubbels’ disappointing performances since joining in the summer. They have taken the lead, Toubache-Ter understands.
Eintracht Frankfurt are also interested in the young French striker, for whom Angers are demanding over €20m.
