West Ham United eyeing Moussa Yeo swoop, table bid
West Ham United will reportedly look to sign 21-year-old Malian winger Moussa Yeo from Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg in the winter transfer window.
According to a report by Africa Foot, Moussa Yeo is the subject of interest of West Ham United. The Hammers are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the winter transfer window. So, the 21-year-old Red Bull Salzburg winger has emerged as a target for the East London outfit.
The Irons have already submitted a bid to sign the Bamako native in the winter transfer window, offering €8 million to the Austrian club. However, while Red Bull Salzburg will be open to selling Yeo in the coming weeks, they will demand a 10% sell-on clause to sanction his departure.
Moussa Yeo is the latest African prospect to rise in prominence at Red Bull Salzburg. Born in Bamako, the youngster spent most of his formative years in Mali before moving to Austria in August 2022. The 21-year-old has made considerable progress in the last three and a half years, and he is a regular for Red Bull Salzburg.
The Malian winger has made over 50 appearances thus far for Red Bull Salzburg while chipping in with eight goals and seven assists. Meanwhile, Yeo’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs. West Ham United will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the winter transfer window.
West Ham United’s interest in Moussa Yeo makes sense. The Hammers are combing the market for a versatile attacker heading into the winter transfer window, as Nuno Espirito Santo wants more firepower in the final third. With West Ham struggling to get out of the relegation zone, the pressure is rising on the Portuguese tactician.
Several candidates have thus emerged on West Ham’s radar, with Yeo also a viable target.
