OGC Nice to make a move for Sergio Ramos?

Sergio Ramos, at the age of 39, is once again on the search for a new club. The Spaniard left Monterrey in Mexico following the expiry of his contract earlier this month.

However, retirement is seemingly not an option for Ramos, who wants to continue playing and who is considering a return to Europe, and more specifically, a return to France.

The former Spain international left Real Madrid after 16 years to join Paris Saint-Germain back in 2021. He would only spend two years at PSG before then returning to formative club Sevilla. Once again, that stay was brief as he then headed out to join Monterrey, where his contract will expire on 1st January 2026.

A return to Ligue 1 could be on the cards, with Mohamed Toubache-Ter reporting interest from OGC Nice, who are in the market for defensive reinforcements due to an ongoing injury crisis at the back. Toubache-Ter describes Nice’s approach for Ramos as “serious”. However, he added that Le Gym were not the only interested party in Ligue 1.
