Lyon’s Tanner Tessmann subject of Premier League interest
Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Tanner Tessmann (24) is the subject of interest from clubs in the Premier League, according to a report from L’Équipe.
Tessmann has become a key element of Lyon’s midfield under Paulo Fonseca. The USMNT international has already played 20 games in all competitions this season, scoring two goals. He has played in a deeper role, similar to the one played by Nemanja Matic, who left the club over the summer.
However, OL are now anticipating his departure. L’Équipe understands that he is the subject of interest from clubs across the Channel. The midfielder will be sold if a significant offer is received. Premier League interest in Tessmann is the reason that OL are targeting a move for SCO Angers’ Himad Abdelli, whose contract with Le Sco is up in the summer and who could, therefore, be available at a cut-price deal.
Tessmann is valued at €12m on Transfermarkt.
