PSG able to meet Dayot Upamecano’s wage demands

In just over a fortnight, Dayot Upamecano (27) will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club, as his contract at Bayern Munich runs down.

The Frenchman’s future at the Bundesliga giants looks uncertain, as they look to tie down the defender to a new deal. However, the situation is complicated by the interest of European giants. As previously reported by Foot Mercato, Upamcecano may already have a verbal agreement in place with Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich also remain in talks, although they are yet to meet his wage demands. All the while, Paris Saint-Germain’s interest is growing. Like Real Madrid, Foot Mercato understands that PSG are able to satisfy the France international’s wage demands.

Asked by Téléfoot about the prospect of joining up with international teammate Ousmane Dembélé, Upamecano replied, “Why not?” The Frenchman is approaching a pivotal moment in talks, with the possibility of signing on a free transfer elsewhere at his disposal from 1st January.
