Marseille predicted XI v Monaco: Matt O’Riley to start, Leonardo Balerdi on the bench
Roberto De Zerbi has heavily rotated his side in recent weeks and he is expected to do so again when Olympique de Marseille host AS Monaco in Ligue 1 on Sunday night.
The Italian dropped club captain Leonardo Balerdi, as well as Benjamin Pavard during the midweek win over Union Saint-Gilloise, and whilst Pavard may return to the starting line-up for Marseille tonight, Balerdi may remain on the bench.
He may be alongside Angel Gomes, who is not expected to start for Les Phocéens. De Zerbi has tinkered a lot in midfield and it is expected to be Matt O’Riley who starts in the No.10 role. There may also be no room for Arthur Vermeeren, with Geoffrey Kondogbia and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg expected to get the nod.
