Tottenham not planning to sack Thomas Frank anytime soon

Thomas Frank’s job is not in immediate danger despite poor results, as Tottenham are set to keep faith and stick with the Dane.

According to Team Talk, Tottenham are not planning on axing Thomas Frank from his post despite a run of poor results. The Danish manager has been the subject of criticism for some of Tottenham’s recent performances, with the losses to Arsenal and PSG unlikely to cost him his job.

Tottenham made a concerted decision in the summer on their managerial post and brought in Thomas Frank from Brentford. The decision was a bit strange given a section of the fanbase were of the opinion of keeping former boss Ange Postecoglou, who ended the club’s highly-publicised 17-year trophy drought.

Postecoglou managed to steer Spurs to a massive Europa League final win over Manchester United, which did bring him some level of support from the fanbase. However, the majority of the supporters understood the club’s decision to part ways with the Australian following a disastrous 17th-place finish in the Premier League last season.

His replacement, Frank, did start really well, and steered Spurs into the best away team in the league until last Sunday. However, there are baffling questions over their home form in the league, given they have taken only 5 points off the 18 they have accumulated so far at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Despite building a reputation of being the best away team in the division, Spurs did suffer a harrowing defeat at the hands of local rivals Arsenal last weekend. That defeat was followed by another one in the Champions League as PSG came out as 5-3 winners in Paris. Those results have cast a big question on Frank’s immediate future, although Spurs have taken a stance on axing the 2025 arrival in their managerial hotseat.

Is Thomas Frank’s job safe at Tottenham?

Tottenham are not thinking about axing Frank from his job despite the run of bad results of late, with the Dane currently not in danger of getting sacked. The club are set to keep faith in the Dane for the foreseeable future, and for now, they are not thinking about a change in the managerial hotseat.

They could revisit the situation in the near future if results continue to evade Tottenham, as there will be a lot of top managers on their list. The Spurs’ job will be attractive to a lot of them, but for now, the club feels Frank is the man for the role.
