Benfica, FC Porto eyeing €20 million move for Christos Mouzakitis amid Arsenal, Manchester United links

Arsenal and Manchester United face the threat of Benfica and FC Porto in the chase for Greek teenager Christos Mouzakitis.

According to Ekrem Konur, Benfica and FC Porto are readying a €20 million bid for Olympiacos teenager Christos Mouzakitis ahead of January. The promising Greek midfield talent is also of interest to the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal, with the Portuguese sides now looking to advance in a deal.

Christos Mouzakitis had made his mark well before the summer window, as several top teams were looking for a way to sign him then. Olympiacos are aware of the potential the 18-year-old Greek prodigy has in him, as they secured him to a long-term deal a the back end of last year, with his current agreement set to expire only in 2029.

Yet, that has not deterred big teams from making their presence felt in the race, as the 18-year-old Greek prodigy continues to attract the biggest of teams. A midfielder by trade, the teenager can be versatile enough to suit some of the big teams, while he has also shown plenty of promise to keep developing his game.

Manchester United have scouted Christos Mouzakitis recently, as they are eager to keep building their squad with promising young talents for the now and future.
