Everton, Leeds United, West Ham United vying for Troy Parrott
Everton, Leeds United, and West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing 23-year-old Republic of Ireland international Troy Parrott from Eredivisie club AZ Alkmaar.
According to an update by Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Everton, Leeds United, and West Ham United are keen on Troy Parrott. The three Premier League clubs are eager to reinforce their offensive units by signing a striker next year. So, the 23-year-old AZ Alkmaar centre-forward has emerged as a target for them, with the Eredivisie outfit demanding at least €30 million to part ways with the Irish striker.
How has Troy Parrott fared since leaving Tottenham?
Troy Parrott has recently been in the news after singlehandedly taking the Republic of Ireland closer to a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 23-year-old scored all five goals as the Green Army reached the playoffs with narrow wins over Portugal and Hungary. Meanwhile, the Irishman has been exceptional since joining AZ Alkmaar from Tottenham Hotspur last year.
Parrott has contributed to 15 goals in 14 appearances across all competitions thus far in the 2025/26 season by finding the back of the net 13 times and providing two assists. Meanwhile, the Irish striker’s exploits have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs. Everton, Leeds United, and West Ham United are among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.
A man in demand
Everton will likely dip into the market for a striker next year, as summer signing Thierno Barry has not been productive enough since arriving from Villarreal. Additionally, Beto has been inconsistent throughout his spell with Everton. Several strikers, including Gabriel Jesus, have thus emerged on Everton’s radar, with Parrott also a viable target.
Meanwhile, Leeds United’s interest in Troy Parrott is understandable. While the West Yorkshire club signed Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha in the summer transfer window, Daniel Farke needs more firepower in the final third. So, the Republic of Ireland international is an option worth considering for Leeds United.
As for West Ham, Niclas Fullkrug will likely leave the East London club in the winter transfer window. Meanwhile, Callum Wilson is approaching the twilight of his career. So, West Ham must invest in a top-notch striker next year, with Parrott emerging as a viable target. Meanwhile, AZ Alkmaar will demand at least €30 million to part ways with the 23-year-old Irishman.
The Eredivisie club’s valuation is understandable, considering Parrott’s age profile and potential. However, Everton, Leeds United, and West Ham United face stiff competition from VfB Stuttgart for the €30 million-rated Irish striker’s signature. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the former Tottenham prospect.
