Aston Villa, Crystal Palace vying for Ez Abde

Ason Villa and Crystal Palace are vying for Ez Abde, with Real Betis only willing to sell if an offer that exceeds his market value arrives in January.

According to Fichajes, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are interested in signing Ez Abde ahead of the January window. The Real Betis winger has been a consistent presence for the Spanish side, as the La Liga team will only sell him if offers exceeding his current market value arrive at their table in the winter window.

Ez Abde has continued to be a consistent presence for Manuel Pellegrini and Real Betis since his arrival back in 2023. The Moroccan winger has made a name for himself, and now he’s also established as a regular for his national side.

Betis value him highly and are not eager to sell him, considering he’s a key part of their plans this season. There were rumours of a possible sale last summer, but Abde ended up staying at the club. The Spanish side knows his value is around €12 million, which is something the report suggests, and will only consider offers that exceed that figure.

The January window could be tricky for the Seville side, given their financial restrictions and the need to strengthen multiple areas of their squad. Hence, a possible sale of a key player, in this case Abde, cannot be ruled out, but they are only keen if an offer is made for the right figure.

Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are the ones mentioned as suitors for the Moroccan, with either of those Premier League sides in a strong financial position to make a deal happen. A move to the Premier League could be exciting enough for the 23-year-old La Liga attacker, given the lucrative contract and the experience of playing for England, probably tempting for the player.

Ez Abde to the Premier League

Aston Villa are still in the market for a new attacker of some sort, with earlier suggestions pointing at a new striker, but they could angle a move for a winger. They have objectives to achieve in the Premier League as well as do well in Europe, as a player of Abde’s calibre and experience would strengthen their attacking setup.

Crystal Palace did sign Yeremy Pino as Eberechi Eze’s replacement, but Oliver Glasner feels the need to further strengthen the attacking depth. Beyond Pino and Ismaila Sarr, they barely have any quality that could let the manager rotate, as an addition, such as the 23-year-old La Liga attacker, would be tremendous in the context of their season.
