Morgan Rogers set to earn £120,000 per week with new Aston Villa deal
Morgan Rogers has agreed to sign a new lucrative deal with Aston Villa, amidst interest from Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City.
Morgan Rogers’s impressive performances at Aston Villa have resulted in a lot of interest from across Europe. Multiple top clubs were chasing his signature, but they have suffered a massive setback as the English international is set to pen a new deal at Villa Park.
According to a report from Football Insider, Rogers is all set to earn £120,000 per week, having agreed a new deal with Aston Villa. The new deal is set to run until 2031, which is a massive blow for teams like Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City, who have been keen on his signature.
Rogers joined Villa at the start of 2024, and he has only gone from strength to strength since. Of late, he has been one of their standout performers. His impressive performances have helped him break into the England national team, and he also finds himself on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in the country.
Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City were keen on signing him during the summer, and they do retain interest in the 23-year-old. While he prefers to play as a number ten, Rogers is capable enough to feature anywhere in attack.

His versatility, along with his massive potential, are key reasons why the biggest clubs in the Premier League have been after his signature. While he had penned a new deal towards the end of 2024, he wasn’t one of their highest-paid players, which led to frustration during the summer.
He was reportedly unhappy that Donyell Malen was earning around double what he was. In order to keep suitors at bay and secure his long-term future, Villa agreed to once again hand him a new deal. This time around, they have agreed a deal that will run until 2031 and will see him earn £120,000 per week, the same amount that Malen gets paid.
Unai Emery is hoping it brings an end to all the talks about him leaving in the upcoming window. More importantly, it will force Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City to take a back seat.
