Tottenham, Barcelona ready to pay big wages to Dusan Vlahovic

The likes of Tottenham and Barcelona are ready to pay big wages to tempt Dusan Vlahovic next summer on a free transfer.

According to Ekrem Konur, Dusan Vlahovic continued to attract big attention in the market ahead of turning into a free agent next summer. Juventus are not keen to lose him on a free, although there are top teams like Tottenham and Barcelona ready to offer big wages to tempt the 25-year-old Serie A striker into making a Bosman move.

The Dusan Vlahovic situation could turn into a saga ahead of the January window, as Juventus are still figuring out their decision on the striker. There were reports back in the summer that both parties could not find an agreement over a new deal, as Vlahovic was not ready to take a pay cut to pen fresh terms.

Juventus are reportedly keen to extend his contract, although the conditions of their offer remain unclear. At this point, Vlahovic is leaning towards becoming a free agent next summer when his deal in Turin expires, with the Bianconeri open to selling him for a modest price in January.

However, the many interested clubs in the Serbian striker are not overly keen to pay anything in January and might wait until the summer to sign him on a free transfer. Teams like Tottenham and Barcelona are reportedly willing to pay big wages to the 25-year-old Serie A striker in an attempt to lure him on a Bosman deal and dissuade him from penning an extension with Juventus.

The situation with Tottenham is a little complex, as they are figuring out Richarlison’s long-term future, as they remain linked with Vlahovic ahead of January. Should the Brazilian depart in the winter window, there’s every chance that Spurs could accelerate a move for the 25-year-old Serie A striker in the winter window, although either scenarios look unlikely at this point.

Barcelona are keen on Dusan Vlahovic

Barcelona are also interested in Vlahovic, among other options, ahead of next summer, when they are probably going to lose key man Robert Lewandowski once his deal expires. The Catalans are set to save on the Pole’s massive wages, and hence could afford to pay a big salary to Vlahovic if he does arrive.

The Serbian is not the only name on their list, as Harry Kane is also being linked with a move, as well as to Tottenham. Barcelona are very much likely to land a new striker to replace Lewandowski, and given Vlahovic’s availability on a free transfer, he might be the best bet for many, considering the state of the finances at the Catalan side at the moment.
