Paolo Vanoli favourite to replace Stefano Pioli at Fiorentina

Following mounting pressure on Stefano Pioli, speculation regarding his potential replacement at the Fiorentina bench has intensified, with Paolo Vanoli emerging as the leading candidate, according to reports from FirenzeViola.

The current withdrawal of the squad for a training retreat is intended to assess the unity between the coach and the team. Should the management decide to part ways with Pioli—who is reportedly unwilling to resign—a quick decision on a successor may be necessary before the team departs for Germany for their next European fixture.

Paolo Vanoli, who would require terminating his contract with Torino, is currently considered the frontrunner for the role, with initial contacts reportedly already established.

The club is also contemplating a return for former manager Raffaele Palladino. Palladino, who guided the team to a sixth-place finish and a Conference League semi-final last year, is listed as the second primary option and is viewed favorably by the club as a familiar choice who understands both the environment and the current squad.

While other names like Daniele De Rossi and Thiago Motta have seemingly been ruled out, the club is also considering the possibility of promoting Primavera coach Daniele Galloppa on an interim basis to buy more time for a final decision.
