Manchester United, Manchester City face Arsenal battle for Etta Eyong

A host of Premier League sides are tracking Etta Eyong as a potential striker option in the future, as the Levante star is high on some top clubs’ radars.

According to Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness, Etta Eyong is high on the list of some of the top Premier League sides ahead of future windows. The Levante striker has begun the season in top form, which has attracted the attention of Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City.

Signed from Villarreal in the summer, Levante have picked up one of the promising striker talents in La Liga. The centre-forward has notched six goals and three assists so far in 10 La Liga games, which has attracted the attention of some prominent sides on the continent.

Some top Premier League sides have tracked the forward, including Manchester United. The Red Devils are not particularly thought to be in the market for a new centre-forward, although the future of Joshua Zirkzee might dictate their search for a player in that profile.

However, for now, they may not be in a position to pay around the €40 million mark, which is in his release clause. He does have another clause, which is for La Liga sides, which amounts to €30 million, as Barcelona and Real Madrid are also part of the chase.

However, the interest from the Premier League would be something the player would like to explore further if there’s a big opportunity on the horizon. For now, the top teams there, like Manchester United, Manchester City or Arsenal, are not expected to splash big on the 21-year-old La Liga striker, especially ahead of January.

Manchester City and Arsenal are interested

Manchester City and Arsenal are also interested, although both those sides have formidable striker options within their ranks. Pep Guardiola’s side are keen on Eyong as a potential option, and currently, they are too reliant on Erling Haaland in the position. However, a future approach is all within the realms of possibility, which could see the Premier League giants keep track of the 21-year-old La Liga striker.

As for Arsenal, they might currently have a full stock of attacking options in their squad, particularly in the centre-forward role. Kai Havertz and summer arrival Viktor Gyokeres are their options alongside Gabriel Jesus, which makes any immediate move for another one, such as Eyong, highly unlikely.
