Chelsea line up €70-75 million move for Eduardo Camavinga
Chelsea are preparing a massive bid to tempt Eduardo Camavinga to Stamford Bridge, with Real Madrid not particularly keen on a sale.
According to Defensa Central, Chelsea are preparing a €70-75 million bid to tempt Real Madrid for Eduardo Camavinga. Whether the Spanish giants are open to any sale remains to be seen, as Xabi Alonso views the Frenchman as a key star in his plans.
Eduardo Camavinga is one of the formidable midfielders in Europe at the moment, and certainly has been a key part of the Real Madrid project since Carlo Ancelotti’s days at the club. The arrival of Xabi Alonso has not changed the opinion on the French midfielder, who was absent in the early part due to an injury.
Aklonso continues to ease him into his plans, and the Spanish manager feels the Frenchman has a big role to play in his project. At 22, Camavinga has a long future ahead, with Real Madrid hoping it will be at the Bernabeu for as long as possible.
However, there’s a looming threat posed by interested clubs who could tempt the midfielder away if he feels there’s not an important part for him at the Bernabeu. For now, things are likely to focus on his efforts with Real Madrid, although some key clubs are showing big interest in the 22-year-old utility man.
Chelsea are the team of the topic, as the Blues have been interested in Camavinga for many reasons. The fact that the 22-year-old utility man can play multiple roles, and then can develop even further into probably a complete midfielder of sorts, excites the London giants, who are now prepared to make an offer.
Chelsea to make Eduardo Camavinga offer
Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offer €70-75 million to tempt Real Madrid into parting ways with Camavinga in the near future. Given the importance of the 22-year-old, Alonso is unlikely to sanction a mid-season sale of the player, although the summer window could be a separate topic of discussion.
Real Madrid had been angling for a move for Enzo Fernandez, as the idea of a part-exchange had emerged earlier. However, it remains to be seen whether the €70-75 million offer planned by Chelsea would be enough to tempt the Spanish side, and then if the player is willing to trade the Bernabeu for Stamford Bridge.
