Manchester United could offer €50 million for Jobe Bellingham
Manchester United are prepared to test Borussia Dortmund’s resolve on Jobe Bellingham with a €50 million offer in January.
According to Fichajes, Jobe bellingham’s name is still high on Manchester United’s wishlist ahead of the January window. The Red Devils are now prepared to test Borussia Dortmund’s resolve by making a €50 million offer for the midfielder, but there are some key challenges ahead to complete the move.
Jobe Bellingham was highly expected to make his mark after following in his elder brother Jude’s footsteps in making the move to Borussia Dortmund. However, since he arrived in the Bundesliga, he has barely made a mark, as his two stars this term do not reflect a good trajectory.
Overall, the midfielder has so far failed to settle in at the club, which has already sparked rumours of an imminent exit from Dortmund, even in January. The player’s camp are not in a hurry at the moment, but the club’s pressure to make big sales could lead to a potential move away from Germany.
Manchester United were linked with a loan move, and they have long considered the 20-year-old midfield prodigy as a potential option to replace Kobbie Mainoo if the latter decides to quit Old Trafford in the near future. Now, the Red Devils are prepared to test with a €50 million offer, which might fall short of Dortmund’s valuation.
Manchester United seek kidfield reinforcements, as well as someone who they can bank on for the future. Bellingham certainly fits the bill in a lot of ways, and hence, the club are open to testing Dortmund with a €50 million offer, although the German side might see it as an opening bid of sorts to increase the price even further.
Complications in a deal for Jobe Bellingham
Even if Dortmund are to accept an offer from Manchester United, there are plenty of other complications surrounding the immediate transfer of the 20-year-old midfield prodigy. For starters, Bellingham is not overly keen to join the Red Devils, as he seeks to play Champions League football.
Manchester Untied currently cannot offer Champions League football, but should they show promising signs around the January window of their ability to qualify, then the equation might change. However, for now, the chances of Bellingham moving along do seem tricky, as Dortmund want to keep faith in the player despite his difficult start, and they do consider him for their long-term project.
