Barcelona, Arsenal vying for Lacine Megnan-Pave
Barcelona and Arsenal are among those vying for Montpellier’s 15-year-old striker Lacine Megnan-Pave as a strategic investment for the future.
According to Fichajes, Montpellier’s 15-year-old French attacking sensation Lacine Megnan-Pave is attracting plenty of attention from some of the big clubs around the continent. Of those, Barcelona and Arsenal stand out in particular, with the gigantic sides vying to bring the youngster and make a strategic investment with his signing.
Lacine Megnan-Pave is generating massive interest from some of the top clubs across Europe following some of the impressive performances in Montpellier’s youth ranks. The 15-year-old French attacking sensation is also part of the Under-17 French national side, where he scored 12 goals and 12 assists in 24 appearances last year, as per the report.
Montpellier are certainly hoping to keep hold of the 15-year-old French attacking sensation for the long-term future. More importantly, they would want to keep hold of the attacker for a few more years at the very least to have a good enough chance to sell him on a profit after a period of developing the player.
However, there is big interest in the 15-year-old French attacking sensation ahead of the future windows, as Arsenal and Barcelona are among those keen. The Gunners already have a strong core of young stars at the club and are subsequently hoping to convince the Montpellier star to join their ranks and continue his development in north London.
Arsenal, for their part, are making massive progress in the background in developing young prospects. Names like Max Dowman have attracted big interest, with Real Madrid interested in the 15-year-old, although he seems destined to commit his future to the Gunners. Arsenal are planning on bringing emerging talents like Megnan-Pave to their youth ranks.
Barcelona to challenge for Lacine Megnan-Pave
Arsenal are not alone in the mix, as Barcelona are also eager to make their presence felt in the race to sign Megnan-Pave. The Blaugrana are eager to showcase their developmental path to the Montpellier star, and they are hoping to convince him to join their ranks instead of elsewhere.
The Catalan giants are building an exciting project at the club, with their first team’s quad comprising many young stars for the present and future. They do have a good enough chance to convince Megnan-Pave to make the move to Spain instead of North London, but only time will tell which of those clubs can prise the player away from Montpellier.
