Predicted Manchester United lineup against Brighton & Hove Albion: Sesko in for Mount; Yoro at the back

Benjamin Sesko and Leny Yoro will return to the Manchester United starting lineup when they host Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Manchester United will be eager to extend the recent winning run when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Old Trafford on Saturday evening. Ruben Amorim has new injury concerns to worry about ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

The Portuguese tactician is sweating over the fitness of Harry Maguire and Mason Mount, with the English duo recovering from minor knocks. The pair will face late fitness tests to determine their availability.

Lisandro Martinez remains unavailable due to his long-term knee injury, and he will not return before next month. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, Amorim discussed the issues troubling Maguire and Mount.

The Manchester United manager said, “The squad is fine. We have some doubts, we had some issues in the week with Harry Maguire and Mason Mount. Knocks, nothing serious and we will see tomorrow.”

“Licha is out. He trained really well. He was on the next pitch and I was watching. He’s training really well, the knee is looking well but I don’t want to say a specific week [for his return] and then it depends on Licha, whether he wins the spot.”

Senne Lammens has become an automatic pick between the sticks after his exploits in the last two games. Manchester United will line up in the usual 3-4-2-1 formation in front of the Belgian shot-stopper against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

The central defensive unit will feature Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Luke Shaw. Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot will be the two wing-backs for the home side. The wide duo will provide width in the final third and protect the centre-backs.

As for the midfield unit, there is no looking past Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in the double pivot. Finally, Benjamin Sesko will lead the line for the home side against Brighton & Hove Albion, with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha completing the supporting cast behind him. So, the injury-stricken Maguire and Mount will be backup options on the bench if they are fit and available.

Predicted Manchester United XI: Lammens; Yoro, de Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Dalot; Mbeumo, Cunha; Sesko
