Manuel Ugarte will replace Casemiro in the Manchester United starting lineup when they take on Liverpool in a Premier League clash at Anfield on Sunday.

Manchester United will be eager to begin a much-needed winning run when they lock horns with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday evening. Ruben Amorim has no new injury concerns to worry about ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Lisandro Martinez (knee) and Noussair Mazraoui (hamstring) remain in the treatment room, and they will not return before next month. Meanwhile, Amorim has been sweating over Ayden Heaven’s fitness, and he faces a late test to determine his availability.

However, the former Arsenal wonderkid would not have found a place in the starting lineup anyway. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, Amorim provided fitness updates on Martinez, Mazraoui, Diogo Dalot, and Bruno Fernandes.

The Manchester United manager said, “Licha is near, but almost returning to the trainings with the team. Mazraoui, I don’t know. The rest of the guys, the national team [players], they are ready. But, if you saw the games, some players play in Japan, so we need to be careful, to give more time.”

“Diogo [Dalot] didn’t play the last game [with Portugal], he was here [yesterday]. Bruno played 62 minutes, we gave [him] one more day [to recover]. We try to balance everything to have everyone ready. But they are ready, the guys are returning from national teams. They are ready to play.”

Senne Lammens will retain his spot between the sticks, with Manchester United lining up in a 3-4-2-1 formation in front of him against Liverpool on Sunday. The central defensive unit will feature Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Luke Shaw. Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu will be the two wing-backs. The wide duo will provide width in the final third and protect the centre-backs in the defensive phases.

As for the midfield unit, Manuel Ugarte will line up alongside Bruno Fernandes in the central areas, with Casemiro starting on the bench after his excursions for Brazil during the international break. Finally, Benjamin Sesko will lead the line against Liverpool, with Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount forming the supporting cast. So, Matheus Cunha and Diogo Dalot will be backup options on the bench.
