Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing 19-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Rayan Vitor Simplicio Rocha from Vasco da Gama.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Rayan Vitor Simplicio Rocha. The four clubs are scouring the market for a bright young attacking prospect. So, the 19-year-old Vasco da Gama wonderkid has emerged as a target for the Premier League quartet, with Chelsea and Tottenham establishing contact over a deal.
Rayan Vitor Simplicio Rocha and his soaring stock
Rayan Vitor Simplicio Rocha has established himself as one of the best young prospects in his homeland since breaking into the first-team squad at Vasco da Gama. The Rio de Janeiro native has spent his formative years thus far with Vasco da Gama, joining the club as a six-year-old in 2012. The 19-year-old progressed through the ranks at the club before making his senior bow.
The Brazilian wonderkid debuted for the Brasileirao Serie A club in 2023, and he has seen his stock soar in the last two years, making nearly 100 appearances thus far while chipping in with 18 goals and two assists. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several Premier League bigwigs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur.
Premier League move on the horizon?
Arsenal must dip into the market for a young and versatile attacker in the next two transfer windows, as Leandro Trossard faces an uncertain future at the Emirates. Additionally, the Gunners are ready to cash in on Gabriel Jesus. As for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah may depart from Anfield next year, with recent reports linking him with Saudi Pro League outfits.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s interest in Rayan Vitor Simplicio Rocha makes sense. The Blues have had a stacked offensive unit in the last few years due to their infamous hoarding policy. They constantly scour the South American market for promising prodigies, and Estevao Willian is the latest prodigy to establish a foothold at Chelsea. So, his compatriot has unsurprisingly emerged as a target for the West London club.
As for Tottenham Hotspur, Son Heung-min has created a void in the offensive unit at the North London club since joining MLS club LAFC. Additionally, Richarlison faces an uncertain future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. So, Rayan is a viable target, and the Lilywhites are intensifying their efforts to sign the teenage sensation by holding talks with his agents, with Chelsea also doing the same.
However, with Arsenal and Liverpool also in the equation, it will be interesting to see if the two London giants win the race when they further their interest in the 19-year-old Brazilian wonderkid.
