Manchester United in transfer tussle to sign Endrick

Manchester United are reportedly in the mix for Real Madrid star Endrick, who could be on the move in search of regular minutes in January.

According to Caught Offside, Manchester United could enter the race for Endrick and explore an opportunity to take the 19-year-old Real Madrid wonderkid in some capacity. The young Brazilian attacker is likely to leave the Spanish capital in search of regular game time to have the slightest chance of making the World Cup squad.

There have been plenty of questions aimed at Endrick and how he planned his career. Real Madrid committed to paying a huge sum for an unknown and untested teenager when he was only coming through the ranks at Palmeiras, although since he came of age to make the move, the performances have lacked something.

Under former manager Carlo Ancelotti, Endrick was at least getting some level of minutes, but those have dried up under new boss Xabi Alonso. The latter prefers other options, which could force the 19-year-old Real Madrid wonderkid to seek a new opportunity elsewhere, albeit on loan to gain regular minutes.

Making the World Cup squad could be on Endrick’s mind, and with that, he has been linked with a move to West Ham United ahead of January. The Hammers are keen to explore the idea of taking the 19-year-old Real Madrid wonderkid on loan for the remainder of the season, which may end up working out for all parties.

While there are some doubts raised about West Ham’s prospects to sign Endrick, Manchester United’s potential entry into the chase could add a new layer of complication. The Red Devils are not particularly in the mix for a new attacker in January, but circumstances could dictate their needs, as well as the opportunity to bring someone like Endrick to test him in the Premier League.

Manchester United in the mix for Endrick?

Joshua Zirkzee is being linked with a loan switch to AS Roma in January, and should the Dutchman leave, it would leave a gap in the attack to add another player. Endrick could be an ideal choice in many ways, even if it is on loan for the remainder of the season.

However, since Endrick has been questioned for his decision to join Real Madrid too soon in his career, his choice to join Manchester United could also come under scrutiny. However, football is about some level of experimentation, and this move to the Red Devils could be a way to test himself in a new league.
