Man City boss Guardiola provides concerning Rodri injury update

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has provided an update on the wellbeing of midfield standout Rodri.

And the news is of a less than encouraging nature…

Rodri has for his part of course set alarm bells sounding across England and Spain alike once more over recent weeks.

This comes amid struggles on the part of the Ballon d’Or winner to regain either form or fitness in the aftermath of his ACL tear.

Rodri has complained of ongoing pain in his knee of late, enough to rule the deep-lying midfielder out of international duty for the October break.

And if the latest comments on the part of the aforementioned Pep Guardiola are anything to go by, then his return to fitness appears to remain entirely up in the air at present.

Drawn on the situation during a press conference on Friday, Man City’s headmaster admitted:

“Rodri is not available this weekend against Everton. I don’t know when he will be back.”
