‘Bulls**t’ – Barcelona boss Hansi Flick slams Lamine Yamal media claims
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Friday hit back at a fresh round of claims in the media, regarding mounting tension between he and the club’s board.
The subject of Flick’s relationship with the Camp Nou brass has emerged as a prominent one in the Spanish headlines across the day to date.
This comes after reports were forthcoming that the German had been left less than impressed with the pressure being put on him by Deco and co regarding team selection.
Specifically, it was suggested that Lamine Yamal was due to be dropped to the bench for reporting late to a team meeting before Barca’s recent defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Owing to pressure from above, however, Flick was allegedly forced to afford the 18-year-old a starting berth.
Speaking to the media in his last press conference on Friday, it therefore came as little surprise when such claims were quickly put to Barca’s headmaster himself.
Flick, however, was in no mood for beating around the bush, in issuing the following response:
“The rumour circulating about Lamine Yamal arriving late to the PSG game is not true. It’s complete bulls**t! Whoever invented that, he is lying.”
