According to TEAMtalk, Ivan Toney is unlikely to make a return to England anytime soon amid links to Tottenham and Chelsea. The former Brentford striker is currently enjoying life in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ahli, as there are plenty of complications for the London giants in their efforts to bring the England international back to the Premier League.

Ivan Toney proved his worth as a Premier League-level striker with a few key seasons at Brentford. The 29-year-old striker was instrumental in the rise of the Bees, as he played a pivotal role in helping them establish themselves as a mid-table top-flight side.

Toney moved to Al-Ahli in the summer of 2024 when he had a year left on his Brentford deal, with the agreement costing the Saudi side around the £40 million mark. The 29-year-old striker has hit the ground running in the Middle East, scoring 38 times and providing seven assists in 54 games.

The Englishman’s time there has already yielded the AFC Champions League crown as well as the Saudi Super Cup, as the club continues to bank on having him around. Tottenham and Chelsea were linked with a move ahead of next year, but there are considerable doubts about whether they can pull it off.

Both the London giants could look for a new striker in the future window, with Chelsea one of the clubs struggling to score goals centrally.
