Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid vying for Nathaniel Brown
Arsenal, Manchester City, and Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing 22-year-old German international Nathaniel Brown from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.
According to a report by German outlet BILD, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Real Madrid are keen on Nathaniel Brown. The three European bigwigs are scouring the market for a new left-back, and they have set their sights on the 22-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt wide player.
Meanwhile, an update by reputed German journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed the Bundesliga club’s valuation. Eintracht Frankfurt will demand around €60 million to part ways with the Amberg native, and they “expect top offers” for the highly-rated full-back in the coming transfer windows.
Nathaniel Brown and his career so far
Nathaniel Brown has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Bundesliga since joining Eintracht Frankfurt from FC Nurnberg. The 22-year-old initially joined Die Adler on loan in January 2024 before completing a permanent move in the subsequent summer transfer window. He has made nearly 50 appearances thus far for the Bundesliga club while chipping in with four goals and nine assists.
Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs. Arsenal, Manchester City, and Real Madrid are among the prospective suitors vying for the German international. Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt will demand around €60 million to part ways with Brown next year.
A man in demand
Nathaniel Brown has been on Arsenal’s radar for a long time. The continued interest is surprising, even though Mikel Arteta has no recognised left-backs in his squad. While the Arsenal manager has utilised makeshift centre-backs as left-backs, there is no vacant berth for a player in that position unless the Gunners sell someone.
As for Manchester City, the Citizens signed Rayan Ait-Nouri in the summer transfer window, and it is unclear why they want another left-back. The situation is similar at Real Madrid, as they secured Alvaro Carreras’s services a few months ago. So, unless they part ways with Fran Garcia, they do not need another left-back.
Nevertheless, Brown is a target for Arsenal, Manchester City, and Real Madrid, and it will be interesting to see if the three European bigwigs are ready to pay €60 million to sign the 22-year-old German international in the coming months.
