Steve Parish comments on Manchester United links with Adam Wharton

Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months, and Manchester United are keen on him.

Crystal Palace are unfazed by the interest in Adam Wharton. The South London club’s chairman Steve Parish has now insisted that he is not too concerned about the situation and that the Eagles are focused on keeping the 21-year-old at the club.

“I think Adam at some point will want to play either in the Champions League with us, if we can make that happen, or probably with another club,” .

“He’s an extraordinary talent. I think right now, and I can’t speak for Adam, but I think he’s focused on his time at Crystal Palace. If Manchester United want Adam Wharton, (there’s) nothing surprising really about that. The fact of the matter is he’s got a long contract to run. There’s no pressure on us to do it, and I don’t think there’s any real pressure from the player either.”

Adam Wharton has been an indispensable asset for Crystal Palace, and the Eagles simply cannot afford to lose him anytime soon. Manchester United are not the only club keen on him, and the 21-year-old has been linked with several European clubs. There is likely to be extensive interest in the player at the end of the season.

It will be interesting to see if Crystal Palace can fend off the interest in their star midfielder and turn down lucrative proposals. Crystal Palace have shown improvement in recent months, and they have recently won the FA Cup. They have secured the Community Shield as well.

The Eagles are competing in European football right now, and they will need to hold on to their best players if they want to compete at that level consistently. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are already expected to lose their best defender, Marc Guehi, and they have recently sanctioned the departure of Eberechi Eze as well.

Losing Wharton would be a huge blow for them. It remains to be seen whether they can convince the midfielder to stay at the club. The 21-year-old has all the tools to develop into a world-class player, and he could help Crystal Palace improve further.

Meanwhile, there is no doubt that he deserves to compete at the highest level, and the best clubs in the world will be fighting for his signature soon. It remains to be seen how the situation unfolds over the next few months.
