Real Madrid interested in Max Dowman, have been tracking him since 2022
Real Madrid are reportedly interested in Max Dowman, having scouted the teenager since 2022, as Arsenal face a fight to keep hold of the player.
According to TBR, Real Madrid are understood to be on the case of Max Dowman and sniff at any opportunity that arises to sign the teenager. The 15-year-old has been tracked by the Spanish giants since 2022, as Arsenal faces a fight to keep hold of him until he signs a professional contract.
Real Madrid are always sniffing around for the best talents from around, and have a revered history of snapping up some of the best players right at a tender age. In this case, they are entering a strange space, as they want to bring Arsenal teenager Max Dowman.
Dowman, 15, has been one of the most talked about names in English footballing circles following his impressive rise at Arsenal. The teenager is a product of the Hale End Academy and is already very close to breaking into the first team plans at the club.
Mikel Arteta has already offered him chances in the first team in the early parts of the season, but has since played most of his football with the youth teams. He remains an option for the manager to bring in this period, where Noni Madueke has fitness doubts, as well as use him in cup games moving forward.
Real Madrid have been tracking Dowman since 2022, and are convinced he can thrive at the Santiago Bernabeu in the future. They are already considering a move for the teenager, and may not be alone in the race, considering many other teams are keen to bring the highly-rated Arsenal wonderkid should an opportunity come about.
Arsenal face a fight, but remain in a strong position
Dowman is not the only player Real Madrid had liked from Arsenal, as they were interested in William Saliba and Myles Lewis-Skelly in the summer. Both those stars have since signed new deals at the Emirates, as Arsenal will hope Dowman follows suit in committing his future when the time is right.
Arsenal are confident of having Dowman for years to come, but do face a fight to ensure he is happy with his development. As things stand, they can only offer him professional terms when he turns 17, that is, on December 31, 2026, which does leave some room for Real Madrid to make their move. For now, the Gunners should be in a strong position, as more first-team opportunities will be key in keeping the teenage sensation.
