Rafaela Pimenta working on new Liverpool contract for Arne Slot

Super agent Rafaela Pimenta is working behind the scenes on a new contract for Liverpool manager Arne Slot.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Liverpool are already working hard to secure the long-term future of their manager, Arne Slot, with a new deal. The Dutch manager’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, is already working on a potential renewal at Anfield following a sensational season last time out.

Slot took charge of the Merseyside club ahead of the 2024/25 season. The former Feyenoord manager had a massive task at hand, as he was taking over from Jurgen Klopp, who had done wonders at Anfield.

While the pressure was on, the 47-year-old certainly did deliver as he guided the Reds to the Premier League title in his very first season in charge. Not only did they dominate the English top flight under the Dutch boss, the Merseyside club were a force to reckon with across competitions.

On the back of his sensational start, Liverpool backed him during the summer transfer window. The Reds forked out a fortune to bolster Slot’s squad. While recent results haven’t gone their way, and the 47-year-old has received a fair amount of criticism, the club are completely behind the manager.

A new deal for Slot is on the cards

They have complete trust in the former Feyenoord boss and are already working on a potential renewal to reward him for his work and secure his long-term future. With his current deal running out in the summer of 2027, the club want to avoid a situation where he has entered the final year of his deal.

His renewal is on their agenda, and his agent, Pimenta, is already working towards it. The Reds want to get it done before the end of this season, and it would be a massive surprise if the head coach doesn’t put pen to paper by then.

Slot was asked about a potential renewal at Liverpool back in May, and he certainly seemed keen. More importantly, he did not deny that talks had already taken place. While the Reds may have other priorities in the short term, renewing Slot’s contract remains a top priority, and they are already working towards it.
