Arsenal rival Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham in Antoine Semenyo chase
Arsenal will compete with Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham in the race to sign 25-year-old Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth.
According to a report by Football Insider, Antoine Semenyo is the subject of interest of Arsenal. The Gunners are scouring the market for a versatile attacker, and they have set their sights on the in-form Bournemouth attacker. Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on signing the Ghanaian international, with the Cherries demanding over £80 million to part ways with him.
Antoine Semenyo and his soaring stock
Antoine Semenyo has gradually established himself as one of the best attackers in the Premier League since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023. The London-born winger took to the Premier League like a fish to water, and he has made considerable progress in the last two and a half years.
The 25-year-old was exceptional in the 2024/25 season, and he has been hot off the blocks in the new campaign, amassing six goals and three assists in seven Premier League appearances thus far. Meanwhile, Semenyo’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.
A man in demand
The Ghanaian international has been on Arsenal’s radar for a long time. The continued interest is understandable, as Leandro Trossard faces an uncertain future at the Emirates. So, Semenyo is a viable target for Arsenal. As for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah may depart from Anfield after the 2025/26 season, compelling the Reds to set their sights on the Bournemouth attacker as a long-term replacement for their talismanic forward.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s interest in Antoine Semenyo makes sense. The Red Devils reinforced their offensive unit by signing Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko in the summer transfer window. However, they may need more firepower next season if they qualify for a European competition. So, Semenyo is a viable target for Manchester United.
As for Tottenham Hotspur, Richarlison faces an uncertain future at the North London club, and they did not sign a long-term replacement for Son Heung-min in the summer transfer window. So, Semenyo is an option worth considering. However, Bournemouth will not sell the London-born winger for a cut-price fee, and they value him at over £80 million.
Bournemouth’s asking price may be steep, but Semenyo has proven his credentials as a Premier League star. However, it will be interesting to see if Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham are ready to pay £80 million to sign the 25-year-old Ghanaian international.
