Crystal Palace in transfer tussle to sign Wallace Yan

Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing 20-year-old Brazilian forward Wallace Yan from Flamengo next year.

As per an update by Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Crystal Palace are keen on signing Wallace Yan, and he could cost around €60 million. It seems unlikely that the South London club will pay that kind of money for the Brazilian attacking prospect. They will hope to sign him for a more reasonable amount of money.

The Eagles need more quality and depth in their attacking unit despite signing Yeremy Pino and Christantus Uche in the summer transfer window. So, signing the 20-year-old could be a wise decision. He could develop into a key player for them with the right guidance.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be exciting for Wallace Yan. It would be a major step up in his career. However, the 2024/25 FA Cup winners have also shown interest in other attackers, including Richarlison.

Crystal Palace have put together an impressive team, and they have won the FA Cup and the Community Shield this year. They have a quality manager like Oliver Glasner. The young attacker could be tempted to join them.

Wallace Yan has 12 goal contributions this season, and Crystal Palace could use someone like him. They need more cutting edge in the final third after the departure of Eberechi Eze. Signing one of the finest young talents in South America would be ideal. However, Flamengo will need to be reasonable with their demands for the move to go through.

It remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign the attacker in January. Other clubs are keeping tabs on him as well, and the Eagles should look to move quickly. Moving to Crystal Palace would be ideal for the player right now.

If the young Brazilian manages to impress with them, he might be able to secure a big move in future. Crystal Palace could be the ideal stepping stone for him at this stage of his career. It remains to be seen how the situation develops. €60 million is unreasonable for the player, regardless of his talent, and Crystal Palace will be hoping to negotiate a reasonable deal for the Brazilian.
