Chelsea ready to sell Enzo Fernandez deal involving Eduardo Camavinga

Chelsea could open the door to sell Enzo Fernandez to Real Madrid should the Spanish side meet with certain conditions.

According to Defensa Central, Chelsea might be open to selling Enzo Fernandez to Real Madrid if their conditions are met. The Blues are interested in having French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga in return, plus €50 million in cash, as these demands could lead to complications.

Enzo Fernandez remains tied down to a long-term contract at Chelsea, which does give the Blues leeway when they end up negotiating a deal for the midfielder. There has been interest from certain big clubs during the summer, but the London giants were steadfast in their stance to keep him.

However, that does not rule out a future sale, as Fernandez reciprocated positively towards Real Madrid’s interest, as per a few reports. Xabi Alonso had wanted a new option in the middle since he took over, but the club did not sign anyone despite holding an interest in Fernandez as a big option.

With the summer window now shut and sealed, the speculation surrounding the 24-year-old star has not ended. A recent report stated Real Madrid pondered a swap deal involving Eduardo Camavinga going the other way for Fernandez.

Now, Chelsea seems to be open to the idea of a part-exchange, as they could open the door to sell Fernandez if their conditions are met. The Blues want Camavinga as part of the deal, as well as €50 million to part ways with the Argentine World Cup-winning midfielder, and they indeed held an interest in the Frenchman before.

Will Real Madrid sell Eduardo Camavinga?

Despite reports stating they might offer the Frenchman as part of a deal for Fernandez, there are doubts about it, as Alonso considers him a key part of his plans. However, should Chelsea remain open to negotiating a standalone deal for their midfielder, there might be a case to be had.

As for Fernandez, he’s reportedly viewed as a player who is currently not at Real Madrid but one who could readily start for the club if he were at the Santiago Bernabeu. Hence, there’s a big possibility the Spanish giants might angle a move for the 24-year-old star in the future, although Chelsea are likely to ask for a significant fee, especially if Camavinga is off the table.
