Manchester United open to Joshua Zirkzee sale, Juventus lead race
Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United are ready to sanction the departure of Joshua Zirkzee, with Juventus being the front-runners for his signature.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Manchester United have made a decision regarding the future of Joshua Zirkzee. The Red Devils are ready to offload the Dutch attacker, who has failed to cement his spot in the team.
While there is no shortage of interest in the 24-year-old’s services, Juventus are believed to be leading the race for his signature. The Old Lady are keen on adding more firepower to their squad and they consider the versatile Zirkzee an ideal fit for their project.
Manchester United acquired the Dutch international’s services in the summer of 2024. On the back of his impressive performances at Bologna, the Red Devils forked out a significant fee to add him to their ranks.
Despite his massive potential, things have not really clicked for Joshua Zirkzee at Old Trafford. So far, the Dutchman has been involved in a total of 51 matches for the English giants, and he has only managed to score seven goals.
Manchester United are ready to sell Zirkzee
Joshua Zirkzee has failed to establish himself as a key part of their squad, and Manchester United are now looking to cash in on him. Their manager, Ruben Amorim, is keen on adding more quality to his attack, and the 24-year-old’s departure will make way for another top-level signing in attack.
Amorim is eager to land someone who can compete with Benjamin Sesko for a place in the starting XI. While the Slovenian striker is expected to be the leader of their attack going forward, the Portuguese manager wants a versatile forward who can keep pushing him. The Red Devils are receiving multiple enquiries for the former Bologna star.
While Juventus are one of the many clubs that are interested in him, the Old Lady are currently the favourite to sign him. A move, possibly to Serie A, next summer looks the most likely outcome. However, a winter transfer cannot be ruled out if an interested club tables a significant offer and United manage to find an ideal replacement.
