FC Twente and RKC Waalwijk agree on Weidmann transfer

FC Twente are set to sign Daouda Weidmann from RKC Waalwijk. The clubs have reached an agreement and the deal is reportedly almost complete.

Twente see the 22-year-old Weidmann, who was seriously injured last year, as the much-needed reinforcement after Mathias Kjølø’s injury. RKC long maintained that the Frenchman should not leave, but ultimately agreed to his departure.

Weidmann played his farewell match for RKC against Almere City on Saturday afternoon. RKC won, and the midfielder was one of the Waalwijk club’s standouts, scoring a goal. Weidmann has scored two goals in four matches this season. Twente could certainly use him, as the Tukkers have only scored two goals in four matches, themselves.
