West Ham United considering Ivor Pandur move, make approach

West Ham United will reportedly look to sign 25-year-old Croatian goalkeeper Ivor Pandur from EFL Championship club Hull City before the summer transfer window closes.

According to a report by Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, Ivor Pandur is the subject of interest from West Ham United. The Hammers are keen on reinforcing their first-team squad by landing another goalkeeper before the summer transfer window shuts down, despite signing Mads Hermansen from EFL Championship club Leicester City a few weeks ago.

However, Hermansen’s slow start to life as a West Ham United player has compelled the East London outfit to return to the market for another goalkeeper. So, the Hull City shot-stopper has emerged as a target for West Ham, and they have submitted an enquiry to discuss a last-gasp move.

Who is Ivor Pandur?

Ivor Pandur has established himself as one of the most eye-catching goalkeepers in the EFL Championship since joining Hull City from Fortuna Sittard last summer. A native of Rijeka, the Croat spent his formative years in his homeland and graduated from the youth division at HNK Rijeka. Since then, the 25-year-old has represented clubs in Croatia, the Netherlands, Italy, and England.

The Croatian goalkeeper has made nearly 50 appearances for Hull City, and while he has kept only seven clean sheets and conceded 57 goals, the player has been impressive between the sticks. Meanwhile, Pandur’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs, including West Ham United.

Premier League move on the horizon?

West Ham United’s interest in Ivor Pandur is understandable. The Hammers are scouring the market for another goalkeeper despite signing Mads Hermansen from EFL Championship club Leicester City earlier in the summer transfer window. However, the Danish shot-stopper has been unimpressive in his first few outings for West Ham, compelling the East London outfit to return to the market.

Recent reports have linked West Ham United with John Victor, and Pandur has emerged as another viable target for the struggling Premier League club. The Hammers have submitted an enquiry to discuss a possible summer move for the 25-year-old Croat.

However, it is unclear if West Ham can convince Pandur or Hull City to part ways in the summer transfer window. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Croatian goalkeeper amid his links with West Ham.
