Gabriel Martinelli uninterested in Arsenal exit despite Rodrygo Goes links

Gabriel Martinelli is not interested in leaving Arsenal in the summer transfer window despite the North London club’s links with 24-year-old Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Gabriel Martinelli has been the subject of interest from Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window after losing Leroy Sane as a free agent. So, the 24-year-old Arsenal winger has been a target for Die Roten.

Apart from Bayern Munich’s interest in Martinelli, Arsenal’s links with Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes have created an unpleasant situation for the player. However, the Bavarian giants have no chance of landing the Guarulhos native in the summer transfer window, as he wants to remain at the Emirates beyond the summer transfer window.

Gabriel Martinelli and his Arsenal spell so far

Gabriel Martinelli has made considerable progress since joining Arsenal from Ituano Futebol Clube in July 2019. While the 24-year-old has not been as consistent as he would have liked in the last 12 months, he has a bright future at the North London club.

However, Martinelli has managed only 60 minutes of game time thus far in the 2025/26 Premier League season. Additionally, Arsenal’s links with Rodrygo Goes have created uncertainties surrounding his long-term future. The Brazilian attacker’s stock in the market is high, with Bayern Munich among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.

Bundesliga adventure on the horizon?

Bayern Munich’s interest in Gabriel Martinelli is understandable. The Bundesliga champions have been scouring the market for a wide attacker in the summer transfer window after parting ways with Leroy Sane as a free agent. Additionally, Kingsley Coman has joined Al-Nassr, while Serge Gnabry has blown hot and cold at Bayern Munich in the last few years.

Several candidates, including Nicolas Jackson, have emerged on Bayern Munich’s radar, with Martinelli also a viable target. However, Die Roten must look elsewhere for a versatile attacker, as the Guarulhos remains committed to Arsenal despite the North London club’s links with Rodrygo.

While Martinelli will face intense competition for a spot in the starting lineup if his compatriot joins Arsenal, he is ready to fight for his place. So, Bayern Munich must look elsewhere for a new attacker, with the 24-year-old Brazilian international not leaving Arsenal anytime soon.
