Girona keen on Stefan Bajcetic

Girona are keen to take Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic on loan for the upcoming season and make him a key part of their plans.

According to Fichajes, Firona are showing big interest in signing Stefan Bajcetic in the time remaining in the transfer window. Liverpool are not expected to block a move for the midfielder, with the Spanish side only considering a loan move for him at the moment.

Girona are set to find solutions to strengthen their squad before the transfer window shuts in under two weeks. The Spanish side are eager to build what their manager, Michel, considers a weaker squad than before, but they are not currently flush with cash.

For instance, they managed to bring promising Manchester City defender Vitor Reis on loan, while they are also angling to sign Bryan Gil on a permanent move from Tottenham. There’s another player on their radar in Stefan Bajcetic, with the midfielder impressing with his half-year loan spell with Las Palmas.

The move to Las Palmas was Bajcetic’s second loan spell of last season, having spent the first half of the campaign at RB Salzburg under Pep Ljinders before the manager got the sack. However, the 20-year-old Liverpool prodigy is now attracting big interest from Girona to bring him back to Spain.

Liverpool are not expected to stand in his way, as Girona now angle a loan move for the midfielder. Manager Michel views him as a key part of his plans moving forward, and while there were other teams like Celtic showing interest in the 20-year-old Liverpool prodigy, Girona might offer him a better prospect.

Girona wants to bring Stefan Bajcetic

Bajcetic has already shown his talent while in Spain with Las Palmas, and despite his impressive displays, he could not help the Spanish strugglers avoid relegation last season. Liverpool are currently showing no resistance in letting the 20-year-old leave on another loan, although they would ideally prefer a permanent transfer.

The plan might be for Liverpool to make one more assessment on the player and whether the 20-year-old fits into their plans moving forward. However, with two years left on his deal, the Merseysiders might certainly look to sell him if he cannot impress them in the upcoming season, as Girona would want to wrap up an agreement at the earliest.
