Nottingham Forest looking to steal a march on Chelsea, Newcastle United, Tottenham in Dusan Vlahovic chase

Nottingham Forest are angling for a move for Dusan Vlahovic, which will require them to beat Chelsea and Tottenham to sign the Serb.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Dusan Vlahovic will be available for sale in the summer from Juventus, and Nottingham Forest are the latest to enter the race. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are anticipating European football next summer, which might compelled them to look to steal a march on the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham in the race for the Serbian marksman.

The Dusan Vlahovic saga at Juventus might come to an end in the summer, with the Bianconeri not open to selling the Serb, who has contributed to 20 goals this season. The club and the player have not agreed on a new deal, which could force the Turin giants to sell him for less than half the price they paid to sign him from Fiorentina back in 2022.

Arsenal have remained interested, and Mikel Arteta has held a long-time admiration for the Serbian and were part of the race back in 2022. Meanwhile, the big issue for them as well other suitors will be paying his £315,000-a-week wages that he draws at Juventus, which has also been a problem for the Bianconeri.

Other sides like Chelsea are in the mix for Dusan Vlahovic, and he does fit into their project requirements with his age and output. The Blues are in the market for a new striker, with plenty of links to many names. Liam Delap has been a target for a short while, although Manchester United are now seen as the favourites to land the Ipswich Town man.

Tottenham are also seen as a potential suitor, and they do need a new striker as a potential replacement for the underperforming Richarlison. Their ability to sign the Juventus striker will depend on making it to next season’s Champions League. However, the issue of his wages will be seen as a problem, not only for Spurs but also Chelsea.

Nottingham Forest keen on Dusan Vlahovic

Nottingham Forest are the latest to enter the race for the Serbian striker, and Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are anticipating European football of some sort next season. While they have Chris Woods on their side, the manager feels the need to add another option as a possible replacement for Taiwo Awonyi in the summer.

Nottingham Forest have shown they have the finances to spend on top players, and they could make a splash on Dusan Vlahovic, as his reported availability for £30 million might be seen as a boost. However, they might have to find a way to beat their rivals, convince the player and find ways to pay his huge salary demands, which will prove challenging for the Tricky Trees in pursuit of the Serbian striker.
